Field Technology Support Specialist – Northern California – Training Provided REMOTE ROLES – Must be currently located within or near the Bay Area, Oakland, or central Northern California region for efficient travel coverage (San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and surrounding areas ideal). Pay Rate: $40–$42/hr W2 Shift: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm PST Duration: 24+ months, with possibility of extensions If interested, please email your resume to grace.johnson@motionrecruitment.com Summary: Training provided – These are travel-based field support roles responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting environmental monitoring and asset tracking technologies (RTLS/RFID) in medical centers and clinics across Northern California. Key Responsibilities: Work independently to plan, coordinate, and execute onsite support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for wireless environmental monitoring and asset tracking systems. Provide field service to approximately a dozen medical centers and affiliated clinics throughout the Northern California region, with up to 75–80% travel weekly. Conduct on-site visits to one or more facilities per week, performing device maintenance, system checks, and support for end-users. Compose summary reports of weekly maintenance activities for facility leadership and engineering teams. Collaborate remotely and on-site with colleagues, facility staff, and leadership to solve issues and optimize solutions. Participate in project work such as technology replacements, device upgrades, or implementations as needed. Submit travel and mileage expenses on a biweekly basis. Participate in regular planning and scheduling (primarily Monday) and report generation/planning for the following week (primarily Friday). Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on technology support, systems maintenance, or related experience required. Experience with basic fundamental of wireless devices, networking, and basic troubleshooting (Windows, network connectivity, wireless devices) required. Application Support experience. Basic proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook), email, and report writing required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting technology in medical, clinical, or hospital environments. Exposure to asset tracking (RFID/RTLS), environmental monitoring, or similar systems (not required; will provide training). Experience supporting wireless device deployments.
