About The Role Reporting to the Head of Product & Analytics, you'll work closely with our data team and technology partners to build and evolve our next-generation data platform using Snowflake, AWS, dbt and Dagster. This is more than a traditional data engineering role—you'll have the opportunity to influence architecture, improve data quality, optimise performance and help establish best practice data engineering across the business. In This Role You Will Design, build and maintain scalable data pipeline and cloud-based data solutions. Develop and optimise our modern data platform using Snowflake, dbt, Dagster and AWS. Improve data quality, reliability and performance across our analytics platform. Identify opportunities to automate, streamline and enhance existing data processes. Work closely with Product, Engineering and Operations teams to deliver high-quality data solutions. Support data governance and engineering best practices across the business. Monitor and optimise platform performance and cloud costs. Contribute to the ongoing evolution of our analytics capability and data architecture. About You You're a curious and proactive Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and building modern, scalable data solutions. You enjoy working collaboratively, take pride in producing high quality work and are always looking for ways to improve systems and processes. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you'll have the opportunity to influence the direction of our data platform while continuing to grow your technical capability. Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3 years' experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or a related discipline (preferred). Experience building modern cloud-based data pipelines, ideally within AWS. Experience with Snowflake, dbt and Dagster (or similar modern data technologies). Strong Python programming skills. Experience with Git, CI/CD and release management practices. Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Tableau is highly regarded. Experience using GenAI coding assistants to improve productivity, documentation and code quality. Ability to use AI tools responsibly and in accordance with company policies. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
