Human Resources Specialist

A growing organization is seeking an HR Specialist to join its collaborative HR team. This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being hands-on and wants broad exposure across HR operations, employee relations, benefits, recruiting, and HRIS. Reporting directly to the HR Director, this position will work closely with a small HR team and support employees throughout the full employee lifecycle. The organization is also preparing to implement Workday , giving this person the opportunity to play an active role in an important HRIS transition. Responsibilities Manage employee data and HRIS updates, including new hires, terminations, employee changes, and reporting Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and records Support employees with HR-related questions, including benefits, compensation, leaves, and company policies Administer employee benefits and serve as a liaison between employees and third-party benefits providers Provide employee relations support and assist with workplace concerns Support recruiting efforts, including interview scheduling, offer letters, and background screenings Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes Help ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, policies, and procedures Support the implementation and transition to Workday Assist with various HR projects and initiatives as needed Qualifications 3+ years of HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, or similar HR experience Experience working with an HRIS; Workday and/or ADP Workforce Now preferred Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong customer-service mindset and ability to work effectively with employees at all levels Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Manufacturing experience is a plus Bachelor’s degree preferred
