About The Role As a Product Data Scientist at In Tandem, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging behavioral analysis and predictive modeling to enhance how our applications understand and serve our members. Your work will involve partnering closely with Product and Finance teams to transform millions of family interactions into actionable models that influence product development and business strategies across our brands. Your expertise will enable the creation of personalized in-app experiences, predictive lifecycle models, and strategic financial forecasts, ultimately helping families stay connected and organized while supporting the company’s growth objectives. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in shipping predictive models in a production environment, preferably in personalization, behavioral prediction, lifecycle ML, or subscription forecasting Strong proficiency in Python and SQL Hands-on experience with Databricks and AWS cloud platforms Proven success with subscription or consumer-app metrics such as LTV, churn, retention, and activation Solid understanding of experimentation and causal inference methods including A/B testing, DiD, uplift modeling, and geo-tests Experience developing feature pipelines, model monitoring, and establishing retraining cadences Ability to translate complex business questions into effective machine learning solutions Familiarity with modern AI tooling, including Claude Code, agent SDKs, and coding agents Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach to ML development Responsibilities Develop and ship models that power personalized in-app experiences, predicting user needs based on real-time behavior and engagement history Detect meaningful patterns in product usage data and build models that generate suggestions, alerts, and guidance for families Implement algorithmic decision-making to replace fixed UI logic, enabling adaptive user interfaces Create predictive models for churn, retention, and activation to inform product strategy and identify valuable interventions Build and maintain pipelines for continuous model refreshment, ensuring models reflect current data signals Collaborate with Finance to develop cohort-level revenue forecasts, LTV models, and sensitivity analyses on key assumptions Design and deploy pricing, promotion, and refund-risk models to assess financial impacts before implementation Deploy, monitor, and optimize production ML pipelines within Databricks and AWS environments Lead experimentation efforts using uplift modeling, geo-tests, and causal inference techniques to validate hypotheses Own the end-to-end process from question framing, data analysis, modeling, to stakeholder communication and implementation Benefits Opportunity to work on products that make a tangible difference in families’ lives Collaborative and innovative work environment that values diverse perspectives Growth opportunities within a growing company with a strong market presence Access to modern AI tools and cloud platforms to enhance your technical expertise Engagement in meaningful projects that promote healthy family dynamics and child development Competitive compensation and benefits packages Equal Opportunity In Tandem is an equal opportunity employer.
