Barista

Position Summary The Barista is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and light refreshments for employees, guests, and visitors within a corporate office environment. This role maintains a clean, welcoming café atmosphere and ensures efficient service during peak business hours. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other specialty beverages according to established recipes and quality standards. Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner and provide excellent customer service. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and accurately process transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including counters, equipment, seating areas, and storage spaces. Stock and replenish food, beverage, and supply inventory throughout the day. Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times. Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring beverages and food items meet company standards. Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing inventory. Communicate customer feedback and operational needs to management. Support catering requests, meetings, and special events as needed. Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient café operations and a positive customer experience. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous barista, café, food service, or customer service experience preferred. Ability to operate espresso machines, coffee brewers, and related equipment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Frequent reaching, bending, and repetitive hand movements. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Customer-focused with a professional demeanor.
