Reliability Engineer – Specialty Rental Division Atlas Copco’s Specialty Rental Division is looking for a Reliability Engineer to further strengthen our focus on delivering highly reliable rental solutions to our customers worldwide. In this role, you will lead divisional product and process improvement projects across all business lines, with the objective of increasing fleet reliability and continuously improving the way our regional operations teams work. Your Responsibilities Build strong relationships with both the regional operations teams to understand their needs, the factories to work out technical upgrades and IT developers to implement dashboards and software solutions Ensure accuracy and continuous improvement of reliability KPIs and dashboards Act as the operations representative in cross-functional project teams, safeguarding operational requirements Proactively identify and drive improvements in processes, systems, and procedures related to reliability and service operations Your Role As Reliability Engineer, you will drive both technical product initiatives and process & system improvements , working closely with regional operations, product companies, and IT teams. Product & Technical Projects Examples Include: Extending service intervals by developing improved fuel and oil filtration solutions Implementing sensors and algorithms to monitor wear and trigger preventive or corrective maintenance actions Process & Systems Projects Examples Include: Developing AI-based tools to support technicians in troubleshooting equipment Defining new concepts and process improvements within our Salesforce operations system to enhance service-related functionalities Defining, implementing, and maintaining reliability KPI dashboards to provide regional and divisional management with actionable insights Quality & Regional Support You will also support the regions in quality reporting by: Training regional teams in the use of quality reporting systems Following up with product companies on reported issues through quality reporting systems, Product Care meetings, and Technical Councils In this position, you will report to the Global Reliability Manager of the Specialty Rental Division. What We Expect from You Education & Technical Knowledge Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline Strong understanding of industrial equipment and processes Experience & Skills Technical affinity is preferred, willingness to learn is a must (knowledge of compressors, diesel engines, and generators, steam, chillers, pumps is a very nice to have, but no show stopper if you don’t have it) Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to adopt new IT systems, including AI and novel applications Fluent in English (spoken and written) Job location The position is based in Specialty Rental headquarters in Boom - Belgium, close to Antwerp Uniting curious minds Behind every innovative solution, there are people working together to transform the future.
