Company Description Precision Diagnostics Blood Sample Collection Centre is a specialized facility focused on safe, accurate, and timely blood sample collection and processing. The centre serves a wide range of patients and healthcare providers, supporting diagnostic testing and medical decision-making. Team members work with standardized procedures, quality controls, and modern equipment to ensure reliable results. The environment emphasizes patient comfort, professional conduct, and adherence to healthcare regulations. Staff are encouraged to maintain high ethical standards and continuous skill development. Role Description The Phlebotomist is a full-time, on-site role based in Srinagar. The role involves performing venipuncture and other blood collection techniques, correctly labeling and handling specimens, and preparing samples for transport or laboratory analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include verifying patient identity, reviewing test orders, explaining procedures to patients, and providing a calm and supportive experience during blood draws. The Phlebotomist will follow infection control and safety protocols, maintain clean and organized work areas, and accurately document procedures and patient information. Collaboration with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals is essential to ensure timely and efficient sample processing. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Blood Collection skills, including venipuncture and capillary sampling. Candidates should possess Laboratory Skills related to specimen handling, labeling, storage, and basic processing. Candidates should possess Medical Terminology knowledge to interpret orders and communicate effectively with healthcare teams. Candidates should possess Medical Assisting skills to support patient preparation, basic vital checks, and documentation. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Medicine relevant to diagnostic testing and patient care workflows. Relevant certification or diploma in phlebotomy, medical laboratory technology, or a related healthcare field. Experience working in a clinical, hospital, or diagnostic centre setting is preferred. Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and infection control standards, and reliable record-keeping abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to stand for extended periods, manage multiple tasks, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
