HR Specialist – Employee Relations Location: Miami, FL Work Arrangement: Fully onsite Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility to work extended hours as needed Salary: $70,000 annually Employment Type: Direct hire Position Overview We are seeking a bilingual HR Specialist with a strong focus on Employee Relations to join a large, fast-paced organization in the Miami area. This role will partner closely with employees and management on workplace investigations, progressive discipline, performance management, coaching, and employee-relations documentation. The ideal candidate will have current, hands-on employee relations experience and the ability to manage multiple sensitive matters with sound judgment, professionalism, and confidentiality. Responsibilities Manage employee-relations matters, including workplace investigations, progressive discipline, performance concerns, and employee complaints. Partner with managers to address employee issues and provide coaching on appropriate next steps. Draft and review disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, investigation summaries, and related documentation. Ensure employee-relations decisions and documentation align with company policy and applicable employment laws. Support performance-management processes and assist leaders with coaching and employee development. Help foster positive employee relations and support broader HR initiatives. Manage multiple active employee-relations matters in a high-volume environment. Assist with litigation preparation and respond to documentation requests from legal counsel as needed. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Prepare reports and analyze HR information using Microsoft Excel. Support additional HR and business initiatives as assigned. Qualifications At least two years of current Human Resources experience with a strong focus on employee relations. Hands-on experience with: Workplace investigations, Progressive discipline, Performance management, Manager coaching, Employee-relations documentation Working knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal employment laws. Experience drafting disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and investigation summaries. Advanced written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish . Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage confidential information. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook. Strong Excel skills, including: IF statements, Complex formulas, VLOOKUPs, COUNTIF/COUNTIFS, Conditional formatting, Pivot tables, Reporting Ability to obtain a required site-access credential within 30 days of employment. Education Candidates must meet at least one of the following: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field Currently pursuing a relevant bachelor’s degree Current HR certification, such as PHR, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP Preferred Experience Experience managing multiple employee-relations cases in a high-volume or operational environment. Experience preparing documentation for litigation or responding to requests from legal counsel. HRIS experience. Previous HR experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, or another fast-paced operational environment.
