Financial Analyst Location: Baltimore, MD | Hybrid Industry: Healthcare IT Employment Type: Contract-to-Permanent (6–12 Months) Rate: $46/hr W2 T2P Salary: $92,950 Work Arrangement: Hybrid – approximately 3–5 days onsite per month Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst with a strong background in the Healthcare Payor industry . Candidates with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) experience are highly preferred. Federal Healthcare experience will also be considered. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience managing budgets, analyzing financial data, identifying variances, and supporting financial decision-making. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field with 3+ years of Financial Analysis experience 7+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Healthcare Payor industry experience is required BCBS experience strongly preferred Federal Healthcare experience is acceptable MS Excel, Oracle Essbase, and Ariba – Required Strong understanding of GAAP, STAT, and federal regulations Experience with budget analysis, corporate allocations, variance analysis, discrepancy resolution, and financial data extraction Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills Key Responsibilities Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data Monitor project budgets and investigate budget variances Analyze under- and over-budget projects and identify root causes Review timesheets, employee expenses, vendor costs, and project allocations Extract financial data from Oracle Essbase and Ariba and analyze it using Excel Prepare financial reports, models, presentations, and recommendations for leadership Perform account reconciliations and investigate financial discrepancies Support internal/external audit inquiries and financial reporting requirements Provide financial analysis and insights to management and stakeholders Additional Information Work Environment: Hybrid Candidates local to Maryland/DC are preferred due to onsite requirements Initial training and collaboration may require additional onsite presence Interview Process: 2–3 rounds, with a possible final face-to-face interview Work Authorization: US Citizens / Green Card holders AI experience is a plus CPA is a plus, although strong Financial Analysis experience is more important
