Location: Erbil / Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan Region of Iraq (Remote / Hybrid) Job Type: Contract / Freelance About the Role We are looking for an experienced, results-driven Local Recruiter / Talent Sourcing Specialist based in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) to support the identification, sourcing, and recruitment of high-caliber professionals across Iraq. In this role, you will act as our key talent partner on the ground, responsible for sourcing specialized professionals—including policy researchers, consultants, analysts, and advisory experts—and delivering robust shortlists of qualified candidates for regional projects. Key Responsibilities Proactive Sourcing: Source qualified professionals through local professional networks, digital platforms, targeted headhunting, referrals, and specialized recruitment channels across major KRI cities (Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok) and broader Iraq. Specialized Screening: Identify and target candidates with strong backgrounds in public policy research, management consulting, data/market analysis, and professional advisory services. Candidate Evaluation: Screen candidates rigorously based on qualifications, technical experience, core skills, and cultural suitability for specialized client roles. Initial Outreach: Conduct initial candidate outreach, engagement, and preliminary phone/digital screenings. Shortlisting & Reporting: Deliver well-structured, comprehensive shortlists of the most suitable candidates alongside regular progress updates on pipeline health and candidate availability. Data Maintenance: Maintain accurate, organized candidate records and recruitment tracking logs. What We Are Looking For Location Mandatory: Must be physically based in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, or surrounding areas). Education: Must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources (HR), Business Administration, or a related field. Recruitment Experience: Proven professional experience in full-cycle recruitment, talent sourcing, executive headhunting, or HR operations. Market Knowledge: Strong, demonstrated understanding of the Iraqi and Kurdistan professional labor market, local business culture, and regional talent pools. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages (Kurdish/Arabic are strong advantages). Why Join Us?
