The role You will work across mobile, web, backend and cloud infrastructure. This is not a narrow ticket-execution role: you will understand the user problem, shape requirements, make sound architectural decisions and ship complete features into production in close collaboration with the founder, product, design, AI/video and business teams. What you will own Product engineering Translate product ideas and business requirements into clear technical plans, milestones and production-ready features. Own features end to end: discovery, technical design, implementation, testing, release, monitoring and iteration. Balance speed with maintainability, security, scalability and a high-quality user experience. Contribute product judgment—not only code—by identifying edge cases, simplifying flows and recommending better solutions. FULL STACK DEVELOPER Mobile and web experiences Build and maintain the consumer mobile application in Flutter, including camera access, video capture and upload, challenge participation, profiles, rewards, notifications and leaderboards. Develop responsive web applications and dashboards using React/Next.js for enterprise users, administrators, creators and brand partners. Turn designs into polished, intuitive interfaces with strong attention to layout, motion, responsiveness, accessibility and consistency. Improve application performance across device types, browsers, network conditions and large media files. Backend, data and platform architecture Design and develop secure, well-structured services and APIs using Node.js/TypeScript; experience with NestJS is preferred. Build data models and high-performance workflows using PostgreSQL, an ORM such as Prisma, Redis and background job queues. Implement authentication, role-based access, permissions, auditability, webhooks and third-party integrations. Support real-time and high-engagement features such as scoring updates, leaderboards, notifications, moderation and campaign analytics. Design for multi-tenant enterprise use, data isolation, reliability and increasing volumes of users, campaigns and video assets. AI and video workflows Integrate AI services for video scoring and analysis, avatar generation, voice, language, personalisation and content generation. Build resilient video ingestion, validation, storage, transcoding, rendering and delivery workflows using object storage, FFmpeg or related media services. Create asynchronous processing pipelines with queues, retries, progress states, fallbacks and cost-aware API usage. Help improve trust and safety through moderation, fraud detection, duplicate or manipulated-content checks and clear human-review paths. Engineering quality and operations Set up and improve automated testing, code review, CI/CD, observability, error tracking, logging and production alerts. Deploy and operate services on a major cloud platform using containers and well-managed environments. Diagnose production issues quickly and improve performance, resilience, security and developer efficiency over time. Maintain clear technical documentation and communicate progress, trade-offs and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders. What we are looking for: 3–6 years of hands-on experience building and shipping full-stack products. Strong Flutter and Dart capability for production mobile applications. Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Next.js, Node.js and modern API development. Solid experience with PostgreSQL, data modelling, caching, queues and performance optimisation. Experience integrating third-party APIs, SDKs, cloud storage and external services reliably. Comfort with Docker, Git, CI/CD and at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, GCP or Azure. A strong grasp of application security, authentication, permissions, privacy and responsible handling of user and enterprise data. Product-management ability: you can break down ambiguous requirements, prioritise, estimate and drive work to completion. Excellent communication skills: you can explain decisions clearly, surface risks early and collaborate constructively. A strong aesthetic sense and genuine care for interaction quality, visual polish and the details users notice. High ownership, curiosity and comfort working in an entrepreneurial environment where priorities can evolve quickly. Good to have: Experience with media-heavy applications, video processing, streaming, transcoding or rendering pipelines. Experience with AI/ML APIs, multimodal models, recommendation or scoring systems, or human-in-the-loop evaluation. Experience building gamification, social, creator, rewards, leaderboard or high-concurrency consumer features. Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, enterprise integrations, analytics dashboards and role-based administration. Familiarity with WebSockets, event-driven architecture, serverless services, content moderation or app-store releases. How success will be measured Features move from concept to production with clear scope, sound engineering and predictable follow-through. The mobile and web experiences feel fast, intuitive and visually refined. Video and AI workflows remain reliable despite large files, asynchronous processing and third-party dependencies. The platforms become easier to operate, monitor, secure and scale with every release. Technical decisions and risks are documented and communicated before they become blockers.

Here's how to pick the right one and stand out in your application.

144.883Jobs

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
