As a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting our digital transformation journey through leveraging your skills in Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Power BI and modern data engineering practices to drive data-driven decision making and process automation. Join us in shaping the future of our business. Responsibilities Connect diverse data sources, ingest data and perform data transformation to support analytics and business reporting requirements. Build and optimize Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions within Microsoft Fabric. Design and implement scalable data models, data storage structures and data integration processes. Automate data processing workflows, monitoring and operational tasks to improve efficiency and reliability. Gather and analyze business and technical requirements for data platform, reporting and analytics solutions. Perform data analysis to identify trends, data quality issues and opportunities for business improvement. Troubleshoot and resolve complex data platform, integration and reporting issues. Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, analysts, architects and IT teams to deliver data-driven solutions. Work closely with the development team in an Agile environment to ensure efficient and effective project execution Share technical expertise in Microsoft Fabric, cloud data engineering and modern data platform practices. Here's what you'll need Qualifications 3+ years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft Fabric. Strong experience designing and implementing Microsoft Fabric architectures, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Pipelines and Dataflows Gen2. Proven experience building and optimizing ETL processes and data models. Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling and query performance optimization. Experience with Power BI, including semantic models and DAX. Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery methodologies. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and visualizations aligned with business requirements. Experience working directly with business stakeholders, gathering requirements and providing technical consulting. Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills. Fluent English. Nice to have Experience with Python. Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps. Microsoft certifications such as Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification (DP-600), Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700), Microsoft Data Analyst certification (PL-300), Power Platform Fundamentals certification (PL-900), Power Platform App Maker Associate certification (PL-100), Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant (PL-200), or Microsoft Power Platform Developer (PL-400). Background in business process analysis and improvement. Experience facilitating technical workshops. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
