As the company evolves its next-generation platform, they're looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, improving systems, and contributing to technical direction. You'll work across a modern MEAN stack environment (MongoDB, Express, Angular and Node.js) while contributing to enterprise integrations, platform enhancements, and modern AI-assisted development practices. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the continued evolution of the platform. Design, develop, and maintain software solutions across the MEAN stack. Build scalable backend services using Node.js. Develop and enhance front-end functionality using Angular. Work with MongoDB and related data structures. Develop APIs, integrations, and enterprise platform capabilities. Contribute to technical design, architecture, and engineering best practices. Take ownership of features from concept through to deployment. Collaborate with fellow engineers through code reviews and technical discussions. Leverage AI-assisted development tools where appropriate. Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability. OUR REQUIRED EXPERTISE 7+ years' software development experience. Strong experience working within the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js). Advanced Node.js development experience. Solid JavaScript and/or TypeScript skills. Strong experience with Angular and modern front-end development. Experience with MongoDB and NoSQL databases. Experience building APIs, integrations, and enterprise applications. Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and an ownership mindset. Advantageous Experience: Bun Python Databricks ERP integrations AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot SaaS or enterprise platform experience The Ideal Person: A self-starter who enjoys figuring things out. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
