You’ll Also Be Producing complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality which adds value to the business Working in permanent teams who are responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development, through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning Collaborating to optimise our software engineering capability Designing, producing, testing and implementing our working software solutions Working across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding to testing, deployment and operations The skills you'll need To take on this role, you’ll need a background in software engineering, software design, and architecture, and an understanding of how your area of expertise supports our customers. You'll need at least six years of overall experience with strong expertise in SQL Server, SQL Queries, Unix Scripting, Oracle Database, and Axiom CV9 & CV10, along with a minimum of five years of experience supporting, managing, designing, delivering, and maintaining Regulatory Cloud Migration initiatives for Axiom on a Vendor SaaS-based model. You'll need experience working in DevOps environment to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance of regulatory reporting solutions while providing functional expertise to support compliance with relevant regulatory standards. You'll leverage a strong understanding of Axiom taxonomy modules, taxonomy-based reports, and free-form reports, and ideally possess experience with regulatory reporting frameworks such as COREP, FINREP, and AnaCredit. You’ll Also Need Experience of working with development and testing tools, bug tracking tools and wikis Experience in multiple programming languages or low code toolsets Experience of DevOps and Agile methodology and associated toolsets A background in solving highly complex, analytical and numerical problems Experience of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability and performance

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
