Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Principal Customer Success Engineer – Cloud Security - Contractor to drive technical outcomes and acceleration across our enterprise cloud security portfolio. Reporting into Customer Success leadership, this position is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment. Location: São Paulo, Brazil Duration: 12 months Your Impact The Principal Customer Success Engineer is a critical driver of customer value, product adoption, and technical execution across our Cloud Security suite. Acting as a high-level consultative technical advisor, you will bridge the gap between complex cloud architecture and strategic customer goals, guiding client teams from technical engineers to C-suite executives. This dynamic role requires an expert with strong project and escalation management skills who excels in matrixed environments, translates technical requirements into actionable rollout plans, and ensures long-term customer success. Key Responsibilities ● Technical Leadership & Cloud Architecture: Guide enterprise customers on complex cloud security architectures, container deployments, and orchestration strategies, translating technical requirements into actionable implementation plans. ● Strategic Advisory & Adoption: Function as a trusted technical advisor across client teams—ranging from hands-on engineers to C-suite executives—driving product adoption, advanced use-case guidance, and success strategies. ● Feature Execution & Training: Lead complex feature implementations and design and deliver advanced training programs and webinars to ensure ongoing customer enablement. ● Escalation & Account Management: Serve as a key point of contact for critical customer escalations, drawing on project management and account oversight skills to drive resolution. ● Content & Program Operations: Maintain structured project documentation, release materials, and program collateral to streamline delivery and cross-functional visibility. ● Matrixed Collaboration: Collaborate closely across internal engineering, product, and field teams while exemplifying company values: Collaboration, Disruption, Execution, Inclusion, and Integrity. Your Experience ● Technical Acumen: ○ 7+ years of hands-on industry experience with deep technical expertise in network security, cloud security, and modern cloud technologies. ○ Advanced technical experience with containers and orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, CI/CD pipelines, Container Registries, and Serverless frameworks. ○ Strong working proficiency across major Cloud Providers (GCP, AWS, Azure). ● Customer & Advisory Expertise: ○ Proven track record in a customer-facing technical advisor role, with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with both non-technical and executive stakeholders. ○ Demonstrated capabilities in high-level consultative engagement, influencing technical decisions, and driving sustained customer success strategies. ○ Skilled in managing customer escalations, account workflows, and technical project execution. ● Program & Documentation Skills: ○ Proven ability in program/project management, documentation writing, and producing content/webinars for release enablement. ● Certifications & Travel Requirements: ○ Preferred Certifications: PCNSE, PCCSE, CCNP, CCSP, CISSP, or equivalent major cloud provider certifications are a plus. ○ Travel: Open to occasional travel as needed for strategic customer engagements and on-site visits.
