We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Provide technical support, coordination, and execution of systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, design, implementation planning, integration, testing, sustainment, documentation, deployment, and system assessment. • Perform systems engineering tasks within Agile sprints and releases, supporting planning activities and creating/inputting work tickets and program/system documentation. • Support and employ a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach for systems planning, design, execution, and sustainment. • Help define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, and input/output parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. • Assist in establishing Systems Engineering (SE) processes and tools for analysis, problem diagnosis, solution design, integration and test preparation, and risk assessment. • Manage a scrum team performing development activities across microservices and supporting system architectures. What You'll Need • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience with 12+ years in software development, system engineering, or related field. • Active Top Secret//SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph. • Experience creating design packages and workflows. • Experience writing technical solutions and whitepapers. • Experience implementing key Agile processes and techniques, including facilitating scrum ceremonies. • Experience with tools such as Gitlab, JIRA, or Confluence. • Familiarity with an MBSE approach and tools. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
