CHM Industries, Inc. is a vertically integrated manufacturer of steel monopole and advanced lighting products. CHM, a leader in lighting and steel structures since 1996, offers our clients quality products designed, manufactured, and supported within the United States at our Dallas-Fort Worth facility. About the Role CHM is seeking a hands-on IT Manager to own and administer our core business systems and lead day-to-day technology operations. While CHM is privately held, we operate with public-company discipline — this role carries direct responsibility for IT general controls (ITGC) that support our SOX framework and audit readiness. Reporting to the CFO, this person will serve as the primary administrator for our ERP and supporting systems, manage user access and security, and partner across the business to keep our systems reliable, well-controlled, and aligned with a growing manufacturing operation. This is a builder’s role for someone who is equally comfortable in a system console, a SQL query window, and a conversation with auditors. Key Responsibilities ERP System Administration • Serve as the primary system administrator for the company ERP, including user setup, roles and permissions, workflows, saved searches/reports, and configuration changes • Own the ERP change-management process: intake, testing, approval, and documentation of configuration and customization changes • Maintain data integrity across the ERP, including master data governance for items, vendors, customers, and the chart of accounts • Support ERP-integrated processes across finance, operations, supply chain, and manufacturing, troubleshooting issues and coordinating with vendors and integrators • Manage ERP releases, sandbox testing, and environment refreshes, and evaluate new modules and features IT General Controls & Compliance (SOX) • Design, document, and operate IT general controls over financial reporting, including change management, logical access, and IT operations • Perform and evidence periodic user access reviews, segregation-of-duties analysis, and privileged-access monitoring • Serve as a primary point of contact for external and internal auditors on ITGC; prepare PBC schedules and support fieldwork • Identify control gaps and drive remediation in partnership with Finance leadership • Maintain IT policies, procedures, and system documentation to support audit readiness Databases & Reporting • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, validate, and reconcile data across systems • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data integrations that support finance and operations • Support data migrations, imports, and integrations between the ERP and other business applications • Monitor data quality and troubleshoot reporting discrepancies to root cause Infrastructure & End-User Support • Manage day-to-day IT operations, including endpoints, networking, email, and core business applications • Administer identity and access management, security tooling, and endpoint protection • Oversee backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity for critical systems • Provide and coordinate end-user support and training; manage help-desk requests and vendor escalations • Manage IT vendors, licensing, and hardware/software procurement Cross-Functional Partnership • Partner with Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to translate business needs into system solutions • Support process improvement and automation initiatives that increase efficiency and control • Translate technical concepts into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders on the shop floor and in the front office • Foster a culture of security awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement Qualifications Required • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field • Prior experience as an ERP system administrator (configuration, security/roles, workflows, and change management) • Hands-on SQL skills (writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting queries) • Experience designing or supporting IT general controls (ITGC) in a SOX or audited environment • Strong understanding of user access management and segregation of duties • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills • Ability to work fully on-site Preferred • NetSuite administration experience • Relevant certifications (e.g., NetSuite SuiteFoundation/Administrator, CompTIA, Microsoft, or security certifications) • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or project-based industries • Experience with system integrations, EDI, or middleware/iPaaS tools • Experience supporting an ERP implementation, upgrade, or integration • Familiarity with reporting/BI tools and scripting or automation What We Offer • Competitive base salary and annual bonus opportunity • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage • Paid time off and company holidays • Career growth opportunity within a growing organization
