Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 6 years of experience in marketing at a cloud, software, or startup company. Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Preferred qualifications: Product knowledge around scaled programs for technical communities. Demonstrated product marketing abilities that propel adoption and market momentum; a track record of bringing innovative tech products to market. Ability to keep up with the pulse of industry trends, with an eye on the developer and developer tools landscapes to discover what’s new, how developers are adapting to industry trends, and which innovations are coming next. Ability to grow in a collaborative, dynamic, and fast-moving work environment with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to contribute to a scrappy and entrepreneurial team culture. About The Job Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end. As part of the Product Marketing team for Developer Programs at Google Cloud, you’ll be responsible for growing the population of Google Developer Program (GDP) members, including subscribers to the program’s paid Premium tier. You’ll be responsible for key aspects of go-to-market, contributing to messaging and positioning, and orchestrating marketing execution across regions, events, campaigns, online assets, growth marketing, and field enablement. Your work will solidify for developers why joining GDP should be an essential part of their journey with Google, and core to their growth as technologists. You will synthesize complex product capabilities for audiences both familiar and new to Google tools (such as how GDP benefits for Firebase and Gemini can be used to build a gen AI-enabled application). You will also require the development of strong working relationships and interactions with Google Cloud and cross-Google product and marketing teams, serving as a trusted resource on all aspects of GDP for internal teams coming to understand how integrating with GDP accelerates adoption of their services. Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself. Responsibilities Drive growth of the Google Developer Program (GDP) membership, including subscriptions to the paid Premium tier. Shape the narrative and strategic messaging for GDP. Manage marketing execution for GDP across various channels such as regional initiatives, events, campaigns, digital platforms, growth marketing, and field enablement. Facilitate understanding within internal teams of how GDP integration enhances adoption of their offerings. Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. That number includes positions in India (9,577), Poland (3,429), the United States (1,753), Singapore (787), and Brazil (779). If you're looking to move or work remotely, check which countries match your goals — then filter WorkMundi by location to see what's actually hiring near you.
Most developer ads you'll see are written in English: 18,397 of the 24,795. That doesn't tell you whether the job itself requires you to speak English or work in English daily, so read each posting carefully. Don't assume the language of the ad matches the language of the team.
The employers posting the most developer roles are Link Group (369 jobs), Upvanta (257), jobgether (226), and OfferZen (212). If you're applying to any of these, research their hiring patterns. They move fast and post often, which means they're either scaling hard or replacing people who didn't fit.
In your interview, expect this: 'Walk me through the last time you had to debug something that took you more than an hour. What was it, what did you try first, and what would you do differently?' Hiring managers ask this to see if you think systematically or just try random fixes. Have a real example ready with specifics.
