This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to modern technologies, and build skills across the full software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with product owners, stakeholders, designers, architects, quality assurance teams, and service delivery colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business and user needs. Responsibilities Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and refine requirements. Work with user experience designers and solution architects to plan and deliver development work through user stories Build and maintain data models, repositories, and reusable APIs using REST and/or GraphQL technologies Develop algorithms and software solutions that support business requirements Integrate and process data from multiple sources, including IoT devices Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to support quality, maintainability, and best practice development standards Partner with quality assurance colleagues to ensure thorough testing of new features and minimise regression issues Produce and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, test specifications, and deployment procedures Support software releases and contribute to third-line support activities where required Skills And Experience Experience with Microsoft .NET or .NET Framework development, ideally using C# Knowledge of SQL Server or a similar relational database platform Exposure to cloud development environments such as AWS or comparable cloud technologies Experience developing and testing APIs, including GraphQL and related tools Understanding of API security and authentication standards such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, OWASP, or NGINX Knowledge of web technologies, including TypeScript and React Experience with ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, and Entity Framework Core Understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) About Ideagen Ideagen is the invisible force behind many things we rely on every day - from keeping airplanes soaring in the sky, to ensuring the food on our tables is safe, to helping doctors and nurses care for the sick. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
