The Role • Architect and design Reliability, Availability, Serviceability (RAS), and manageability features for compute platforms. • Develop solutions to monitor and maintain system health, minimizing downtime and ensuring efficient maintenance cycles. • Engage with industry communities to stay updated on the latest developments and align solutions with industry direction. • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including SoC, CPU, firmware, and software product management. • Provide technical leadership and oversight to hardware and software teams, ensuring compatibility with industry specifications. • Partner with internal teams, customers, OEMs, and suppliers to create software roadmaps and detailed requirement documentation. What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years, or a PhD with 6+ years. • 4+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python. • Strong expertise in modern operating systems, ARM64 architectures, hypervisors, software reliability, and manageability. • Deep proficiency in Linux kernels, RAS, System Manageability, DDR, PCIe, and communication protocols like I2C, SPI, and MDIO. • Practical experience with in-lab debugging tools. • Strong technical documentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
