This contract opportunity offers a chance to work remotely near Richmond, VA, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop end-to-end data solutions. Your expertise will drive data pipeline creation, dashboard development, and process automation, enabling impactful insights and decisions within a secure, compliant environment. You'll be instrumental in designing, maintaining, and optimizing data lakes, warehouses, and visualizations, leveraging your skills in cloud technologies and workflow automation. Key Responsibilities Include Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical data solutions. Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks and related tools. Develop, optimize, and govern data lakes, warehouses, and datasets for analytics. Create compelling dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools. Automate business and data workflows with Microsoft Power Automate or comparable solutions. Monitor data quality, implement governance best practices, and ensure compliance. Work cross-functionally with engineering, security, and analytics teams to enhance data infrastructure and workflows. Ideal Candidate Will Have 5–7 years of data engineering experience with a focus on Databricks and data pipelines. Proven expertise in data lakes, warehouses, and structured data management. Strong skills in SQL, ETL development, and data governance. Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, or similar. Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudWatch) and cloud data concepts. Experience with workflow automation using Microsoft Power Automate or similar tools. Strong problem-solving abilities, self-starter attitude, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Additional Skills Knowledge of data quality and security protocols. Front-end development skills with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS are a plus. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
