About Somos Somos Internet is a technology company dedicated to transforming connectivity and democratizing access to advanced digital infrastructure across Latin America. The organization focuses on challenging the status quo and building a future where people, regardless of location or background, can access high-quality services. Currently, Somos Internet delivers fast, stable, and affordable connectivity solutions that enhance the telecommunications experience for individuals and businesses in Colombia. The company believes digital infrastructure should be a right for everyone and works every day to make that vision a reality. Team members join a mission-driven environment aimed at changing how communities connect and shaping a more inclusive digital future. The Role We're looking for a Strategic Finance Manager to drive the ad-hoc analysis behind Somos's biggest decisions. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you'll take on strategic questions — pricing, expansion, M&A, competitive response — build the analysis and modeling to answer them, and push the resulting decisions and changes through the business. You'll also support the VP of Finance on capital raises, diligence, and investor relations as needed. You are AI-native. That means AI is your default — how you build models, structure analyses, and turn a question into a recommendation. You'll work closely with the VP of Finance and department heads on strategic questions day to day, and — when a capital raise or diligence process is active — with outside counsel, bankers, and investors. This requires a sharp analytical mind and a polished communicator who can represent Somos credibly in either room. This is a strategic analysis and decision-support seat first — ad-hoc analysis, modeling support, and driving change based on what the numbers show. Capital raises, diligence, and investor relations are part of the role, but as additional support to the VP of Finance, not the primary workstream. What You'll Do Strategic Analysis & Decision Support Lead ad-hoc analysis on major strategic questions — pricing, market expansion, competitive response, build-vs-buy — and drive the resulting decisions and changes through the business, not just present findings Evaluate M&A, partnership, and market-expansion opportunities — build the business case and recommend a course of action Build competitive and market intelligence — benchmarking, market sizing, and positioning analysis — to inform strategic decisions Develop strategic frameworks — expansion IRR, unit economics at scale, scenario trade-offs — and carry them through to implementation Proactively identify strategic risks and opportunities and bring them to the VP of Finance with a recommendation, not just a flag Financial Modeling Support Support the VP of Finance and the Director, FP&A on modeling for strategic decisions — M&A cases, financing scenarios, capital-structure trade-offs Build and maintain standalone models for initiatives outside the core FP&A model — new lines of business, partnership structures, deal analysis Stress-test assumptions and sensitivities on major financial decisions before they reach the board Capital Raising, Diligence & Investor Relations (Support) Support capital raise processes — equity and debt — under the direction of the VP of Finance: data room prep, diligence responses, and process coordination Support investor-facing materials and the board narrative, working from the Director, FP&A's numbers Assist with cap table and equity administration tracking, in coordination with legal and the Controller Help manage the investor and lender relationship calendar — data requests and follow-ups delivered on time and on message AI-First Execution Use AI as your primary tool for building models, running analysis, and drafting recommendations and board materials — not as a supplement Apply the AI-first standard already set across the finance function to your own workflows Leverage AI to compress turnaround times on data room requests and diligence responses without sacrificing accuracy Stay current on AI tooling relevant to strategic finance, capital markets, and fundraising What We're Looking For Required Early-career finance professional with pre-MBA-level experience in investment banking, private equity, or growth equity, plus a stint in management consulting Demonstrated ability — from prior roles, internships, or coursework — to run ad-hoc financial and strategic analysis that leads to real business decisions, not just presentations Strong financial modeling skills — comfortable building and defending complex scenario and decision models, though not expected to own the company's core FP&A model Full bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English — written and spoken AI-native: you use AI by default to build, analyze, and draft materials — and you can demonstrate it Polished communicator — credible with the VP of Finance and department heads day-to-day, and with investors and lenders when a capital raise is active Sharp analytical thinker — able to frame a business problem, structure the analysis, and land on a clear, defensible answer High editorial standards on investor- and board-facing materials Preferred MBA — new or recent graduate Exposure to capital raise or diligence processes (equity and/or debt) — data room, diligence support, or investor relations Background in capex-heavy or infrastructure-driven businesses — fiber/telecom, data center, supply chain, or subscription-based services Experience with LatAm capital markets or cross-border financing Experience with debt financing / credit facilities
