Position Title: PL SQL Developer US Citizenship is REQUIRED. Must reside within a commuting distance to the client. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, enhance, and support Oracle database applications and backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL , database performance tuning, stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and data integration. This role will work closely with application developers, business analysts, database administrators, and other technical teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing database solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code. Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, views, cursors, and database objects. Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into database solutions. Develop complex SQL queries for application processing, reporting, data validation, and reconciliation. Perform query optimization and database performance tuning, including execution plan analysis, indexing, and SQL optimization. Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate fixes. Develop and maintain batch processing jobs, data interfaces, and ETL-related database processes. Perform data analysis, data conversions, migrations, and data validation activities. Work with large datasets while maintaining application performance, data integrity, and accuracy. Participate in code reviews and ensure development follows established coding standards and best practices. Create technical documentation, including database designs, data mappings, process flows, and implementation procedures. Support application releases, deployments, testing, and production implementations. Collaborate with DBAs, application developers, QA teams, business analysts, and infrastructure teams. Provide ongoing production support and resolve database-related incidents and defects. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and technical design discussions. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience developing applications using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Strong hands-on experience with: Oracle Database SQL and PL/SQL Stored procedures and functions Packages and triggers Views and materialized views Cursors and exception handling Dynamic SQL Bulk processing using BULK COLLECT and FORALL Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, normalization, and database design. Experience troubleshooting and optimizing complex SQL queries. Experience analyzing Oracle execution plans and identifying database performance issues. Knowledge of indexes, partitions, constraints, sequences, and other Oracle database objects. Experience working with high-volume transactional or enterprise database systems. Experience with source control and software development lifecycle processes. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Oracle 12c, 19c, or newer versions. Experience using tools such as Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, or SQL*Plus. Experience with ETL, data migration, and data conversion projects. Experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting. Experience with job scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or Oracle DBMS Scheduler. Familiarity with REST APIs, Java, Python, or other application development technologies. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes. Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Experience supporting mission-critical or high-availability enterprise applications. Technical Skills Primary: Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Packages, Functions, Triggers, Views, Cursors, Query Optimization, Performance Tuning Secondary: Linux/Unix, Shell Scripting, Git, ETL, Data Migration, DBMS Scheduler, SQL Developer, TOAD, Agile/Scrum Work Environment Hybrid work model (2 days onsite, 3 days remote) May require occasional onsite support during releases or critical financial reporting periods
