Company Description Kobi Construction Ltd. is a full-service deep utility and site servicing contractor located in Calgary, Alberta. Our projects range from inner city infills to multi family and large-scale subdivision projects. We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team in the role of project manager/estimator. Role Description The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating and managing deep utilities projects within Calgary and surrounding areas. In the estimator role, you will be responsible for entering new tenders into the system, preparing detailed cost estimates, and submitting approved bid proposals before closing date. Key duties for the project management role include coordinating requirements before project start, communicating with clients, suppliers, and sub-trades throughout the life cycle of the project, and helping to ensure the project stay on schedule and under budget. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Estimating – Request quotes vendors and subcontractors and prepare cost estimates as per tender documents - Project Kickoff – Ensure permits, materials, utility agreements, survey, and all other requirements are in place before project start - Budgeting – Track and monitor actual project costs against the estimated budget - Communication – Keep all project stakeholders informed throughout project lifecycle - Meetings – Participate in onsite and virtual meetings - Invoicing – Create and submit monthly progress billings and project invoices and follow up on outstanding collections Qualifications - Minimum of 5 years in a construction project management role - Experience estimating projects up to $5M - Related diploma or degree in construction management, business, or related - Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, specifications - Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure - Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam If you are looking to work on dynamic projects and join a team of highly experienced and motivated individuals, we’d love to hear from you.
