Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services organization, is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that improve operational visibility, enable real-time observability, and support data-driven decision making across the enterprise. This individual will play a critical role in developing and optimizing data pipelines, integrating diverse data sources, creating reliable data products, and delivering actionable insights through reporting and dashboarding solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical engineering expertise with a passion for solving business challenges and driving operational excellence in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products to support operational reporting, analytics, and business decision-making. Build and optimize cloud-based data solutions that improve operational visibility and enable real-time observability across the organization. Partner with technology, operations, and business stakeholders to define meaningful KPIs, metrics, service-level indicators, and alerting capabilities. Develop proactive monitoring and reporting solutions that surface issues before they impact customers or business operations. Integrate and manage data from multiple internal and external sources while ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability. Create dashboards, visualizations, and reporting solutions that translate complex datasets into actionable business insights. Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to implement modern data platforms and best practices. Automate data workflows and pipeline processes using orchestration and cloud-native technologies. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and operational efficiencies. Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical teams and business leadership. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Data Warehousing, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL for data transformation, automation, and analytics. Experience building and supporting data platforms within AWS cloud environments. Experience developing and managing workflows using Apache Airflow. Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI, Splunk, or similar business intelligence and observability platforms. Knowledge of modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex technical challenges. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technology, operations, and business teams. Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and drive initiatives to completion. Experience working within regulated industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Insurance, or similar environments is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or a related discipline; equivalent experience considered. Ability to successfully pass required background, credit, and regulatory compliance screenings.
