Role Description Tata Technologies, Inc.: Manufacturing Systems Engineer – Detroit, MI Duties Responsible for business requirement understanding, blueprint, development, implementation, data migration and testing of Manufacturing/Assembly Process Planning with MPP module of Teamcenter PLM application for Automotive, Aerospace, Heavy Machinery and other industry clients. Responsible for onsite project management and coordination with offshore team on execution of Manufacturing/Assembly Process Planning. Blueprinting, As-Is Process Study, To-Be Process definition, Fit Gap Analysis w.r.t. OOTB functionality of MPP (Manufacturing Process Planner) of Teamcenter. Discuss with customer to understand Business Requirements and define the use cases, play back sessions with client stake holders, sign off on Use cases. Collaborate and review proposed changes for integration of all the Upstream and Downstream applications with Teamcenter PLM application. Define the Manufacturing Data Model elements and its workflow processes. Understand the EBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials) and support to sanitize the data. Define and create the MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials) with all the required attributes. Define and create the BOP (Bill of Process) with the assembly sequences that drive the execution of Operations in respective stations. Classify the Resources (Tools and Equipment) and consume them into the defined stations of Plant Structure. Assign the Torque Values and creating Visual Images (2D/3D). Spearheading activities for the creation of work Instructions for Assembly Operations. Initiate, control & Implement the Manufacturing Changes. Perform Manufacturing Data Migration from Legacy system to Teamcenter PLM application. Identify, Extract, Transform, Load and Validate the Manufacturing data as specified. Perform SIT (System Integration Testing) & UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with customer for developed use cases. Perform Root Cause Analysis of the identified issues and make necessary changes to the configuration wherever required. Proactively help the implementation team in performance tuning of the applications/queries, design effective backup/archival strategies so as to cater to the business requirements. Provide post-implementation production support of incremental project delivered. Responsible for ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely manner within the agreed Service Levels with clients. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering field followed by five (5) years of experience with the manufacturing/assembly process in Automotive, Aerospace and/or Heavy Machinery domains. Experience must include: 5 years of experience in implementation of Manufacturing/Assembly Process Planning using Teamcenter PLM (Blueprinting, As-Is Analysis/To-Be Definition, Fit Gap Analysis, Manufacturing Bill of Material, Bill of Process, Work Instructions, Accountability check rules). 3 years of experience using Business Modeler Integrated Development Environment for tasks such as Operations, extensions, creating conditions, Naming Rules, GRM rules, Complex & Compound properties, business constants, property constants and defining packaging extensions into templates. 3 years of experience in configuring PLM modules such as Manufacturing Process Planner, Structure Manager, Report Builder, Workflow Designer, Classification, Organization, Change Management, Product Configurator. 2 years of experience with Installation, Configuration, Deployment of PLM applications (Teamcenter), Active Workspace Teamcenter Visualization, Dispatcher and NX CAD software. 2 years of experience with Manufacturing Data Migration from Legacy systems to Teamcenter PLM. 1 years of experience with the integration of MES with ERP, PLM and shop floor systems. TELEWORK: May be eligible for f/t or p/t/ telecommuting with authorization from manager and HR TRAVEL: Up to 5% domestic travel for short- or long-term client assignments BASE SALARY RANGE: $123,157.00 to $145,000.00 per year.
