Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience in Manual QA Testing. • 2-3 years of experience testing payment applications within banking or financial services. • Strong knowledge of: o SWIFT (MT & MX messaging) o Fedwire o CHIPS o ACH / NACHA o ISO 20022 o Domestic and international wire transfers • Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and defect management processes. • Experience validating payment message formats and payment transaction lifecycles. • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. Job Description An employer is seeking a Manual QA Tester for a large financial client sitting in Charlotte, NC. This person should have some experience in payments technology flows (SWIFT, FED, CHIPS, ACH, ISO20022, etc.). This person is responsible for testing and delivering complex software to accomplish business outcomes. They should be a subject matter expert on testing practices ensuring that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. They help condition and generate test data, build, and execute both manual and automated test suites, record and communicate the test results, and assist with triaging defects. They also ensure regression test suites are maintained and well designed. Key responsibilities • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. • Lead test planning, usually at a team level. When part of a Scrum team, ensure stories are well refined and contain clear acceptance criteria. • Ensure in-scope and out-of-scope items are clearly identified during test planning. • Implement the test framework for the team. • Lead test case reviews and work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure test coverage. • Identify automation opportunities and develop test automation for applicable test types. • Help condition, generate test data, and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assist in identifying and managing sensitive test data. • Execute test cases, including manual and automated tests, and record test results. • Report issues and defects along with the appropriate background information for review. • Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assist with resolving or escalating them, as necessary. • Create and manage traceability. Trace tests forwards/backwards through the development lifecycle and back to requirements. • Use testing tools and follow processes to complete testing on a given test environment and assist with fulfillment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments. • Maintain and catalog test suites across test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.) Compensation : Up to $51/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
