Lead AI Python Developer – 7–10 Years Experience Job Summary We are looking for a Lead AI Python Developer with 7–10 years of strong hands-on software development experience to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions using Python. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical leader and individual contributor who can guide the team while independently writing production-quality code, solving complex technical problems, and driving AI initiatives from design through deployment. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of production-grade Python applications. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to AI/ML and Python development teams. Design and implement scalable AI/ML and Generative AI solutions. Develop and integrate LLM-based applications using OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or other LLM APIs. Design and implement RAG pipelines using vector databases and enterprise data sources. Develop AI applications using LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI orchestration frameworks. Build scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python, FastAPI, Flask, or Django. Define technical architecture and development best practices for AI applications. Work with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn. Design prompt engineering strategies and establish approaches for evaluating LLM outputs. Work with SQL/NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and vector databases. Drive the development of AI agents, multi-agent systems, and intelligent automation solutions. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding, security, quality, and performance standards. Identify and resolve complex technical and production issues. Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Lead deployment and support of AI applications across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. Establish and improve CI/CD, testing, deployment, and MLOps practices. Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and solution design sessions. Stay current with emerging developments in Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, and AI engineering. Required Skills 7–10 years of professional software development experience. Strong hands-on expertise in Python development and coding . Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Patterns. Proven experience leading or mentoring technical development teams. Strong hands-on experience developing AI/ML and Generative AI applications. Strong knowledge of LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, and AI application development. Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and backend development. Strong experience with FastAPI, Flask, and/or Django. Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI frameworks. Experience integrating OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or other LLM APIs. Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, or Chroma. Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and application deployment. Good understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong debugging, problem-solving, code review, and performance optimization skills. Preferred Skills Experience in Agentic AI and multi-agent systems . Experience with MLOps and model deployment. Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration. Experience designing enterprise-scale AI solutions. Experience with AI evaluation frameworks and LLM observability. Knowledge of cloud-native AI/ML services. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Experience in healthcare or other regulated domains is an advantage. Leadership Expectations Act as a technical lead and subject matter expert for Python and AI/ML development. Mentor and guide developers on coding standards, architecture, and AI engineering practices. Conduct technical reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Take ownership of complex technical problems and provide effective solutions. Drive technical decisions while balancing scalability, performance, security, and maintainability. Work closely with architects, product managers, and engineering leadership to define technical direction. Ensure successful delivery of AI projects while maintaining high engineering standards. Important Requirement This is a hands-on technical leadership role . Candidates must have strong practical coding experience and should be capable of independently writing, reviewing, debugging, optimizing, and architecting Python and AI-related solutions. Candidates with only managerial, coordination, or project-management experience without strong hands-on Python and AI development experience will not be suitable. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field. Experience 7–10 years of relevant professional experience , with substantial hands-on experience in Python, AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and backend development, along with proven technical leadership or team-lead experience.
