Solution Lead / Technical Lead – Data Lineage

Role: Solution Lead / Technical Lead – Data Lineage Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Solution Lead / Technical Lead to serve as the design authority for an enterprise Data Lineage and Metadata Management platform. In this role, you will define the canonical metadata architecture, design automated lineage extraction pipelines, and ensure seamless integration across complex banking data ecosystems. What You’ll Do Technical Ownership: Serve as the technical design authority for enterprise data lineage and metadata architecture. Architecture & Modeling: Define canonical data and metadata models covering assets, pipelines, transformations, and relationships. Metadata Ingestion: Design extraction strategies across cloud platforms, databases, ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, and BI tools. Integration & Standards: Lead integration with enterprise platforms and establish development, security, and architectural standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Data Governance, Engineering, Risk, and Security teams to resolve technical dependencies and ensure regulatory compliance. What You Bring 10+ Years in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Data Integration. Data Lineage Expertise: Proven track record designing metadata management solutions using tools like Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, DataHub, or OpenMetadata. Technical Skills: Advanced SQL, API integration, ETL/ELT patterns, and cloud data ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Domain Knowledge: Strong background in Banking/Financial Services, including exposure to regulatory reporting, risk data, and data governance frameworks. Stack Exposure: Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, dbt, or Power BI/Tableau is a strong plus. Interested in shaping our enterprise data foundation?
