About The Role As a DevOps Engineer , you will make an impact by managing the software delivery lifecycle through CI/CD pipeline maintenance, infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), system monitoring, and production support. You will help drive the reliability, scalability, and security of enterprise platforms while partnering with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You will be a valued member of the Engineering and Operations team, working collaboratively with software developers, infrastructure teams, security teams, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient and reliable technology operations. In This Role, You Will Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient software delivery. Manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform. Monitor system health, availability, and performance, proactively identifying and resolving operational issues. Respond to and troubleshoot production incidents while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Perform platform upgrades and maintenance activities to ensure system stability and security. Collaborate with security teams to integrate security controls and best practices into development and deployment pipelines. Support security compliance checks, vulnerability remediation efforts, and operational risk reduction initiatives. Manage and support containerized applications and production workloads using Docker and Kubernetes. Improve application scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency through automation and process optimization. Support enterprise infrastructure and application environments while maintaining operational excellence. Work Model We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring up to 3 days per week in a client or Cognizant office in Louisville, Kentucky. The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you're engaged in, as well as business and client requirements. Rest assured, we will always be clear about role expectations. Please note that this position is not eligible for visa transfer or sponsorship now or at any time in the future. What you need to have to be considered 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar infrastructure and cloud engineering role. Hands-on experience building, maintaining, and supporting CI/CD pipelines. Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform. Experience managing cloud infrastructure environments. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments. Strong troubleshooting, production support, and incident management skills. Experience monitoring system health, performance, and availability. Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and security integration within deployment pipelines. Experience supporting platform upgrades, patching activities, and security compliance initiatives. Strong understanding of automation best practices and operational reliability. These will help you stand out Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools. Experience implementing vulnerability management and security hardening practices. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications and infrastructure. Relevant cloud, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications. Salary And Other Compensation The annual salary for this position will be determined based on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
