This role will suit an experienced Application/IT system administrator with experience of building and maintaining virtual system architecture for critical applications and performing upgrades of system infrastructure. The role will involve the design, installation, qualification, and upgrade of applications and the infrastructure they are hosted on. Knowledge of DCS and/or PLC/SCADA systems is helpful. Key Responsibilities Support design of new system infrastructure for client projects Install, configure and maintain new / existing systems and applications Assist with the implementation of new/upgraded systems and/or virtualization. Develop and implement IT standards and procedures in line with industry trends and corporate standards Write, review, and update documentation for systems. Requirements Third level qualification in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience Excellent knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Server and Workstation Operating Systems (Server 2008/2012/2016/2023, Microsoft Windows 7/10/11) with knowledge of Active Directory. Understanding of Database concepts and basic database administration activities Excellent knowledge of Hyper-V, VMWare, Dell VRTX Knowledgeable IT Security/cybersecurity experience essential. Able to take scanning reports and apply the fixes/patches or manage exceptions/deviations. IT BackUp & Disaster Recovery, yearly test drive and evidence collection Knowledge of Emerson DeltaV, PLC/SCADA, Hardware and Networking Essential Skills Familiar with Validation and Quality Assurance Processes Support & Troubleshooting Skills Good Communication Skills Excellent organisational skills Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks Availability to work outside office hours when the need arises Nice To Have Skills Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience Travel required: NO
