We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our partner's team! Our partner operates in the technology-driven, on-demand manufacturing ecosystem, connecting global customers with manufacturing capabilities through a digital platform. The company leverages data, technology, and machine learning to optimize complex manufacturing and sourcing processes at scale. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing predictive models that support data-driven business decisions, particularly within sourcing and manufacturing operations. You will work with large-scale datasets, apply machine learning and statistical techniques, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems. Key Responsibilities Develop, optimize, and evaluate predictive models using machine learning and statistical modeling techniques Prepare, clean, transform, and sample large datasets for model development and analysis Apply probability and statistical methods to generate reliable and actionable insights from data Use cloud-based environments such as AWS to process and analyze data at scale Query and extract data from databases and data warehouses such as Snowflake Perform data analysis and visualization using tools such as Python, SQL, Jupyter Notebooks, and Looker Translate complex business challenges into data science and machine learning solutions Continuously test, iterate, and improve models and analytical approaches Solve complex and previously unexplored problems in a fast-paced environment Collaborate with cross-functional teams while contributing to a culture of continuous learning and experimentation Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related quantitative field M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant field is a strong advantage 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, data science, and/or optimization Advanced proficiency in Python, particularly libraries such as pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and scikit-learn Strong knowledge of statistics, probability, and linear algebra Hands-on experience developing and evaluating predictive machine learning models Experience working with SQL and large-scale datasets Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS Knowledge of scientific software development principles, including version control and reproducibility Experience with Snowflake, Jupyter Notebooks, and/or Looker is an advantage Experience in the manufacturing industry or manufacturing-related data environments is a strong advantage Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
