Role Description The Manager of Constituent and Data Services is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the integrity, organization, and strategic use of constituent and organizational data. This role manages databases and CRM systems, ensures accurate data entry and maintenance, and develops processes to improve data quality and reporting. The manager collaborates with fundraising, marketing, and editorial teams to provide data insights that support engagement, subscription growth, and donor stewardship. Day-to-day tasks include generating reports and dashboards, segmenting and analyzing audiences, creating and documenting data workflows, and responding to internal data requests. The person in this role also helps train colleagues on data-related tools and best practices, supports compliance with privacy and security standards, and contributes to ongoing process improvements. Qualifications Experience managing constituent data, CRM platforms, or donor databases, with strong skills in data entry, maintenance, and quality control. Ability to analyze data, build reports, and create audience segments using tools such as Excel, reporting software, or business intelligence platforms. Knowledge of fundraising, development, or subscription-based operations, including donor or subscriber lifecycle management and engagement tracking. Comfort with process design and documentation, including creating standard operating procedures and training materials for data-related tasks. Strong organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to prioritize multiple requests and deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical colleagues in a collaborative, service-oriented manner. Familiarity with data privacy, security standards, and ethical handling of constituent information; experience in a nonprofit or media environment is beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as data management, information systems, business, communications, or nonprofit management) or equivalent professional experience.
