IT Systems & Support Specialist Location: Addison, TX (onsite) Employment Type: Full Time, Direct Hire *C2C arrangements and third-party vendor submissions will not be considered for this role. We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Systems & Support Specialist to provide responsive technical support to onsite and remote employees. This hands-on position supports Windows devices, Microsoft 365, user access, corporate endpoints, IT assets, enterprise applications, and office technology. The ideal candidate takes ownership of requests from initial contact through verified resolution, communicates clearly, documents all work, and knows when to troubleshoot independently or escalate. Key Responsibilities Provide Level 1 technical support for Windows devices, Microsoft 365 applications, authentication issues, hardware, peripherals, connectivity, and enterprise applications. Deliver friendly and professional support to employees, executives, and office visitors. Record and manage all support requests in Jira, including walk-up and messaging-based requests. Prioritize tickets, communicate status, identify blockers, and follow through until resolution is confirmed. Perform employee onboarding, offboarding, role changes, and access administration. Support laptop imaging, deployment, recovery, reassignment, and retirement. Assist with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Intune administration. Support endpoint enrollment, application deployment, patching, compliance, security settings, and Windows Autopilot. Maintain accurate hardware, software, identity, license, and asset records. Support workstations, conference rooms, presentation technology, and other office equipment. Follow established security, access-control, and change-management procedures. Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-base articles in Confluence. Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, or automate recurring IT processes. Use approved AI tools responsibly to assist with troubleshooting, documentation, and productivity. Escalate issues appropriately and collaborate with senior technical team members when needed. Required Qualifications 3 years of hands-on experience providing end-user support in a Windows-based corporate environment. Experience with Level 1 troubleshooting, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory. Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira or a comparable platform. Experience supporting user accounts, onboarding, offboarding, laptop deployment, and IT equipment. Understanding of networking fundamentals, authentication, hardware, peripherals, and common business applications. Basic knowledge of security practices such as MFA, least privilege, endpoint protection, encryption, patching, and access control. Strong customer-service, communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to manage priorities, take ownership, communicate proactively, and escalate appropriately. High level of accountability, urgency, curiosity, and attention to detail. Willingness to learn new technologies and accept additional responsibilities. Ability to work regularly onsite in Addison, Texas. Ability to lift and reposition office IT equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Group Policy, or Windows Autopilot. Experience providing high-touch technical support to executives or other priority users. Experience supporting conference rooms and presentation technology. Experience with Jira, Confluence, or PDQ. Experience in a healthcare, HIPAA-regulated, SOC 2, or security-conscious environment. Microsoft, CompTIA, or comparable technical certifications. What Success Looks Like Every support request is documented and actively managed.
