About the Position: Under the general supervision of the Senior Transportation Engineer, Caltrans (District Traffic Safety Branch Chief), the Research Data Analyst II (Research Analyst) independently performs the more difficult, varied, and complex research, statistical, and analytical assignments supporting the District 11 Traffic Safety & Operations Branch. The incumbent collects, validates, analyzes, and interprets transportation data from multiple sources to support traffic operations, safety programs, statewide reporting, and management decision-making.
