Cost Analyst

Job Title: Cost Analyst Duration: 1 year assignment (possible extension) Schedule: 9/80 (on-site) Location: Deer Park, TX This opportunity sits within a corporate engineering environment and focuses on financial reporting, forecasting, and capital programme support. The role will work closely with project controls, procurement, finance, and engineering leadership to improve cost visibility, forecasting accuracy, and decision-making through SAP reporting, Business Warehouse, and Power BI. This position offers strong exposure to capital planning, KPI reporting, and process improvement in a technical manufacturing setting. Required Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 18 hours of accounting. Required Experience Between 3 to 8 years of experience in manufacturing operations or a related industry. Experience supporting financial reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost tracking. Experience working with capital spend reporting, capital planning, or project-related financial data. Required Skills Strong SAP capability, preferably S4HANA, including experience developing variants and standardising regular reports. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook, with strong knowledge of advanced Excel functions and formulas. Strong analytical ability and financial acumen, with the ability to work accurately with large volumes of data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in a virtual business setting. Ability to identify reporting or process gaps and support continuous improvement in business processes and data quality. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Basic understanding of project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Planning. Experience using Business Warehouse and developing automated reporting solutions with Power BI.
