Scientist II – Microbiology São José dos Campos , São Paulo, Brazil ( Hybrid ) Long Term What you will do Key Responsibilities Active participation in the microbiology laboratory routine related to the maintenance of microorganisms, promotion of growth, qualification of biological indicators, etc. Preparation for sterilization of materials, culture media, and reagents. Maintenance, qualification, and calibration of equipment. Strategy formulation in accelerated and long-term stability studies for cosmetic products in global projects. Conducting activities related to the qualification of pharmacopeial microbiological methodologies for finished products and raw materials. Development, review, and execution of microbiological qualification protocols and reports. Preparation and review of technical documentation and reports for microbiological qualifications. Structuring and managing quality records, such as investigations, CAPAs, and risk assessments. Ability to communicate clearly with the internal organization and global teams. Effectively collaborate with project members, adhering to priorities, checkpoints, and deadlines to support objectives. Maintain a proactive mindset for identifying opportunities to improve our processes. Manage and coordinate low and high complexity projects with cross-functional team and SMEs, report metrics, and interact with and/or lead cross-functional teams to implement projects. Work independently to drive technical resolutions. What we are looking for Required Qualifications A minimum degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field is preferred. Experience in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food industry is required, with a strong background in microbiology. Proven experience in test method qualification, test method transfer, and laboratory investigations is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, along with advanced proficiency in English. Desired Qualifications Experience with consumer products, including self-care, skin care, skin cleansers, hair care, oral care, and/or baby care products, is highly preferred.
