Financial Business Analyst

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience. 4–6 years of relevant experience in business analysis, financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, or a related area. Demonstrated hands-on experience with budgeting and forecasting. Experience performing financial analysis, reconciliations, and budget variance analysis. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience maintaining rolling financial models. Experience forecasting expenses and tracking actual expenditures against budgets. Understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and monthly financial processes. Ability to independently manage detailed, high-volume work in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management capabilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate with Finance, Procurement, IT, and other business stakeholders. Experience supporting IT contract management or procurement activities. Basic understanding of IT hardware, software, equipment, licensing, and maintenance agreements. Experience with Power BI and interactive dashboard development. Knowledge of accounting principles, including CapEx versus OpEx treatment. Experience with cost allocation. Exposure to SQL or Python for data extraction and analysis. Experience supporting a large, complex, multi-division organization. Previous experience supporting a public-sector or transportation organization is a plus.
