Role Description The Junior Accountant will be responsible for accurately recording all bookkeeping transactions, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining up-to-date financial records in support of the company’s Finance, Administration, Operations, and Accounting needs. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and a salient understanding of accounting principles and procedures. Key Responsibilities Include: • Recording financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments • Maintaining general ledger entries and financial records • Supporting bank, cash, payable, and debt reconciliations • Assisting with accounts payable and receivable • Supporting payroll processing and payment disbursements • Assisting with monthly and year-end closing activities • Preparing financial reports and schedules as required • Supporting tax filings, audit preparation, and regulatory documentation • Maintaining the company’s fixed asset register Requirements: • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline • 1–2 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting • Internship or entry-level experience will be considered • Experience in inventory or operations management would be an asset • Familiarity with accounting software such as Zoho, QuickBooks, SAGE, or similar platforms • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel • Excellent attention to detail, time-management, communication, and analytical skills Location: Kingston Logistics Park, New Port West, Kingston 11
