We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join a large-scale organization and work on data integration, data flows, automation, and AWS-based solutions. This is a maternity leave replacement position with an option to extend. Immediate availability – Advantage Key Responsibilities Develop Data Flows for ingesting data from multiple source systems into a data lake Maintain and manage Apache NiFi infrastructure Develop application integration solutions in AWS Develop automation processes using Ayehu Initiate and lead cross-functional projects across the organization Collaborate with various technical teams, vendors, and service providers Requirements 1+ year of experience with Apache NiFi – MUST 1+ year of experience developing in Python , including working with APIs – MUST 1+ year of experience working with Linux – MUST 1+ year of experience working with semi-structured data (JSON) – MUST 1+ year of experience with AWS Data Lake services , such as EventBridge, Step Functions, Glue, and Kinesis – MUST Experience with SQL , including complex queries and stored procedures – Advantage Familiarity with information security concepts, including architecture, communication protocols, authentication, and certificates – Advantage Experience with Bash or PowerShell scripting – Advantage

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
