Senior Infrastructure & Systems Engineer Position Overview Our client is seeking a hands-on IT Infrastructure professional to support and enhance a multi-site technology environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining network and server operations, supporting cloud and on-premises technologies, assisting with technology integrations resulting from company growth, and providing advanced technical support to end users. The ideal candidate will combine strong networking expertise with systems administration and infrastructure project experience. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & Network Operations Maintain reliable connectivity across multiple office locations through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Support and optimize enterprise network environments, including SD-WAN, switching, wireless connectivity, and remote site communications. Partner with telecommunications providers and external vendors to coordinate circuit upgrades, connectivity improvements, and infrastructure enhancements. Participate in domain consolidation efforts, file-share migrations, storage expansion projects, and cloud adoption initiatives. Evaluate and recommend technologies that improve security, operational efficiency, system reliability, and user experience. Systems Administration Administer Microsoft-based infrastructure including Active Directory, Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms, and Microsoft 365 services. Support email platform modernization initiatives, including migrations from on-premises environments to cloud-based solutions. Manage storage resources, backup processes, disaster recovery readiness, and data retention initiatives. Monitor server health and respond to system outages, service interruptions, and performance-related issues. Oversee software licensing, technology asset inventories, and compliance-related activities. Technical Support & End User Services Provide advanced escalation support for complex desktop, network, telephony, and application issues. Assist employees with account access, licensing management, hardware deployment, and software troubleshooting. Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related incidents while maintaining service quality expectations. Document support activities, technical solutions, and operational procedures within the organization's service management platform. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and resolve technology challenges impacting operations. Project & Integration Support Participate in technology integration efforts associated with acquisitions, business expansion, and infrastructure modernization. Support the assessment and onboarding of newly acquired environments, including network, server, storage, and user migration activities. Work closely with technical leadership on strategic initiatives involving system upgrades, cloud services, and infrastructure standardization. Contribute to process improvement efforts and maintain accurate technical documentation. Required Qualifications Experience supporting Cisco-based network environments, including Meraki and SD-WAN technologies. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and services. Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, and Hyper-V environments. Proven ability to troubleshoot network, server, and end-user technology issues. Experience working with third-party vendors, telecommunications providers, and infrastructure partners. Background supporting enterprise infrastructure projects, migrations, or technology integrations. Preferred Qualifications Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent networking experience. Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or multi-site technology integrations. Exposure to cloud migration initiatives and hybrid infrastructure environments. Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, storage management, and cybersecurity best practices.
