This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento, CA. Final Filing Date: 8/31/2026 About This Role: Join the Platform Support Services Group as an Enterprise Applications Administrator (ITS I) supporting our mission‑critical 24x7 infrastructure. You’ll design and maintain modern IT systems, drive cloud and DevOps initiatives, optimize performance, and keep documentation sharp and current. You'll partner across technical teams to deliver secure, innovative solutions—and lead key vendor and contract activities to ensure we acquire the right technologies. This role is all about reliability, efficiency, and moving our platforms forward. What You Will do: Lead IT projects by supporting the implementation, operation, and security of technology solutions across multiple platforms. Ensure reliable system support with a strong emphasis on security, data integrity, and end‑user computing. Develop and maintain clear documentation and training materials covering hardware, software, data management, and end‑user tools. Analyze and resolve end‑user hardware and software issues; lead the team in managing support tickets to meet SLAs and maintain customer satisfaction. Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and retire end‑user devices using enterprise tools for remote management and software deployment. Design, deploy, maintain, and monitor IT systems; perform root‑cause analysis and recommend improvements to enhance performance and security. Collaborate on cloud and DevOps initiatives and ensure system documentation remains accurate and up to date. Support vendor and contract activities, including developing and reviewing Statements of Work, assisting with procurement, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. Perform additional duties as assigned to support divisional objectives and the evolving needs of IT services. Desirable Qualifications Experience with Active Directory administration Familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud platforms Knowledge of Fairfax systems Strong IT project management skills Experience with Oracle technologies Understanding of Qmatic queue systems Salesforce platform experience ServiceNow ITSM proficiency SharePoint Online administration skills Experience with SimpliGov workflows UiPath automation experience VMware virtualization expertise Windows and Linux server administration Contract and vendor management experience Interested in starting a state career?
