You deliver complete customer solutions, not disconnected features that may never be deployed. You thrive in the challenging middle ground: ambiguous requirements, inconsistent APIs, structured data, authentication mechanisms, migration tooling, and the point where a customer can execute their workflow from start to finish. If you prefer narrowly defined tickets with minimal customer interaction, this role is not suitable. Quark enables enterprise organizations to manage sophisticated content workflows. In this position, you will convert customer requirements into dependable implementations on the Quark platform: system configurations, REST API connections, webhooks, SSO/SAML setups, XML/XSLT transformations, migrations, and workflow automation. The work is technical, customer-oriented, and results-driven. A compelling demonstration is insufficient. The solution must function under real-world conditions, pass acceptance testing, and be documented well enough for others to maintain. AI is integral to how work is accomplished. You will leverage tools like Claude Code or Cursor to accelerate delivery, and you will construct practical AI agents, Skill files, or comparable automation assets that eliminate repetitive tasks. Over time, your contribution evolves from executing individual implementations to establishing reusable delivery frameworks that accelerate future customer deployments and improve reliability. If you seek hands-on integration work where AI, structured content, and customer outcomes converge, apply now. What You Will Be Doing Convert customer requirements into technical execution plans, acceptance criteria, and actionable delivery tasks Configure Quark workflows, structured content architectures, rules, integrations, and connections to external data sources Develop and validate REST API, webhook, SSO/SAML, XML/XSLT, migration, and script-based automation deliverables Troubleshoot implementation issues by examining logs, payloads, authentication mechanisms, transformations, and configuration relationships Produce clear runbooks, handover documentation, and walkthroughs that enable customers to operate the delivered solution What You Won’t Be Doing Developing unrelated core product capabilities with no direct customer deployment objective Executing from ambiguous tickets without clarifying requirements, constraints, and acceptance criteria Implementing temporary fixes without root-cause investigation, validation, and reusable documentation Delivering generic training materials that leave customers reliant on undocumented institutional knowledge Delaying progress for weeks to refine a solution before demonstrating tested working functionality API Integration Engineer Key Responsibilities Deliver dependable Quark customer implementations that integrate systems, content workflows, and users to produce measurable customer value. Basic Requirements At least 3 years of hands-on software engineering, systems integration, implementation, or technical consulting experience Experience building or troubleshooting REST API and webhook integrations Working knowledge of authentication concepts such as SSO or SAML Practical proficiency with XML and XSLT or an equivalent structured-data transformation technology Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language used for migration, automation, or workflow implementation Regular practical use of AI developer tools such as Claude Code or Cursor Experience building at least one useful AI agent, Skill file, agent definition, or equivalent automation artifact Fluent in written and spoken English for customer discovery, requirements clarification, and technical handover Availability for at least 4 hours per day overlapping with business hours for US customers and 4 hours for Europe. Nice-to-have Requirements Experience with content management, publishing platforms, or structured content workflows Experience creating customer-facing technical documentation, runbooks, or implementation handover materials Experience converting ambiguous customer requirements into end-to-end integrations, migrations, or workflow automations About Quark Working with us Crossover is a private recruiter for ESW Capital’s portfolio of global enterprise software companies and AI-first organizations, hiring top talent from around the world. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
