We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Designer to join our team and work on the design and development of our furniture catalog. This is a core design role for someone who enjoys creating furniture concepts, exploring materials and finishes, and translating ideas into well-resolved designs. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of proportion, scale, colour, materials, and detailing, along with a genuine enthusiasm for furniture and product design. Educational Background * Degree/diploma in Product Design, Furniture Design, Interior Design, or a related design discipline * Freshers and candidates with relevant experience are welcome, provided they have a strong design sensibility and portfolio Key Responsibilities * Develop original furniture concepts and designs for the catalog * Work on furniture proportions, dimensions, ergonomics, detailing, and functionality * Explore and specify materials, finishes, colours, fabrics, veneers, laminates, metals, etc. * Create mood boards, material palettes, and design concepts to communicate ideas * Develop design presentations and clearly articulate the thought process behind each design * Coordinate with the production/factory team to understand feasibility and detailing * Prepare and maintain accurate AutoCAD drawings and design documentation * Work closely with the design team through the development and refinement of furniture pieces * Ensure designs are executed within the required quality standards and timelines * Keep up with current furniture, material, colour, and design trends while developing a distinct design language for the catalog Skills We’re Looking For * Strong eye for proportion, scale, balance, colour, and composition * Good understanding of materials, finishes, and furniture construction * Strong conceptual thinking and ability to translate an idea into a design * Good visual communication and presentation skills * Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of other relevant design/3D software is an advantage * Ability to create compelling mood boards and material palettes * Good attention to detail * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively * Strong time management and ability to work within deadlines * Most importantly, a genuine enthusiasm for design and furniture What This Role Offers This is an opportunity for a designer who wants to be deeply involved in the design process from concept to final furniture development, and contribute to building a strong, cohesive furniture collection and catalog.
