About the Role We are seeking a creative and skilled Web Developer to build and maintain user-friendly, responsive websites and web applications. In this role, you will bridge design and technology—translating UI/UX mockups into functional code, optimizing site performance, and ensuring seamless digital experiences across all devices and browsers. Key Responsibilities Design, code, and deploy responsive user interfaces and websites using modern web technologies. Translate Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop designs into high-quality, pixel-perfect HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code. Optimize websites for maximum speed, scalability, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile responsiveness. Integrate front-end interfaces with back-end APIs, databases, and Content Management Systems (WordPress, Shopify, or Headless CMS). Conduct website testing, debug front-end issues, and resolve client-side performance bottlenecks. Implement SEO best practices, structured data, and web accessibility standards (WCAG) to drive search performance. Maintain, update, and enhance existing web properties with new features, security patches, and plugin updates. Collaborate with designers, content creators, and back-end engineers to align technical output with business goals. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or relevant practical experience. 1–3 years of hands-on web development experience with a strong portfolio of live websites or applications. Proficiency in core front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and JavaScript (ES6+). Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React.js, Vue.js) or CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap). Familiarity with Content Management Systems (WordPress theme/plugin customization, Webflow, or Shopify). Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Git/GitHub version control, and web hosting platforms (Netlify, Vercel, cPanel). Strong eye for design details, UI/UX principles, and high attention to cross-platform consistency.

That number includes positions in India (9,577), Poland (3,429), the United States (1,753), Singapore (787), and Brazil (779). If you're looking to move or work remotely, check which countries match your goals — then filter WorkMundi by location to see what's actually hiring near you.
Most developer ads you'll see are written in English: 18,397 of the 24,795. That doesn't tell you whether the job itself requires you to speak English or work in English daily, so read each posting carefully. Don't assume the language of the ad matches the language of the team.
The employers posting the most developer roles are Link Group (369 jobs), Upvanta (257), jobgether (226), and OfferZen (212). If you're applying to any of these, research their hiring patterns. They move fast and post often, which means they're either scaling hard or replacing people who didn't fit.
In your interview, expect this: 'Walk me through the last time you had to debug something that took you more than an hour. What was it, what did you try first, and what would you do differently?' Hiring managers ask this to see if you think systematically or just try random fixes. Have a real example ready with specifics.
