Audit Executive — N S K A and Co LLP Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Experience: 3–5 years Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview The Audit Executive will independently handle statutory and tax compliance engagements for clients, with a strong focus on income tax, GST, and TDS matters. The role requires hands-on expertise in compliance software and the ability to manage client deliverables with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Income Tax Compliance — Prepare and file income tax returns for individuals, firms, and companies; compute advance tax and self-assessment tax liabilities; assist with tax audit reports (Form 3CA/3CB/3CD) and related annexures. GST Compliance — Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C and other applicable returns; reconcile GST input tax credit with GSTR-2A/2B; handle GST registration, amendments, and refund applications. TDS Compliance — Compute TDS/TCS liabilities, prepare and file quarterly TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q), issue Form 16/16A, and resolve TRACES-related notices and defaults. Reconciliations — Perform periodic reconciliation of GST, TDS, and books of accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies before filing. Statutory & Internal Audits — Support audit engagements including vouching, verification, and preparation of audit working papers and financial statements under the guidance of partners/seniors. Notice & Assessment Handling — Draft replies to income tax and GST notices, and assist in liaising with tax authorities during assessments and scrutiny proceedings. Client Coordination — Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients on routine compliance matters, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Documentation & Recordkeeping — Maintain organized records of filings, working papers, and correspondence for audit trail and future reference. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: 3–5 years in a practicing in Auditor office or similar audit/compliance environment. Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of Computax (income tax and TDS filing) and Tally (accounting and GST). Familiarity with GST/TDS government portals (GSTN, TRACES) is expected. Technical Knowledge: Sound understanding of the Income Tax Act, GST law, and TDS provisions, along with practical filing experience. Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com). Semi-qualified CA/CMA candidates or those pursuing the qualification will be preferred. Other Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple client deadlines, proficient in MS Excel, and good written/verbal communication for client interactions.
