In your role as a Learning Coach, you'll support K–8 students hungry for faster advancement. Content instruction isn't your domain—technology manages that. What You Will Be Doing Conducting biweekly individual virtual coaching appointments with each student, concentrating on academic target-setting, drive, and growth mindset Hosting accessible "office hours" where students can join spontaneously for immediate guidance, motivation, or problem-solving Designing and delivering compelling virtual life-skills sessions for gifted learners organized by age group Leveraging AI-powered tools and progress dashboards to monitor student advancement, spot obstacles, and refine your mentoring tactics Recording observations, alerts, and tactical adjustments to keep every student advancing on a rapid-growth path Maintaining proactive communication with families regarding student achievements, objectives, and challenges Working closely with colleagues to exchange effective practices, flag serious concerns, and continuously refine our coaching framework What You Won’t Be Doing Instructing subject matter, evaluating assessments, or distributing assignments—technology manages the academic content Presenting formal lectures or adhering to rigid curricula Supervising or excessively managing unmotivated students—our approach is coaching, not surveillance Attending redundant meetings or navigating administrative red tape Operating on autopilot—this team exists for professionals committed to excellence and meaningful outcomes Learning Coach Key Responsibilities Produce quantifiable academic progress and student engagement for virtual learners through the delivery of frequent, high-impact mindset coaching within a fully remote, technology-enabled environment. Basic Requirements Master's degree in any field At least 1 year of experience coaching, mentoring, or motivating K–8 students At least 6 months working with gifted students in an educational, coaching, or mentoring setting Proven high performance in any field—academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or the arts Strong virtual presence and ability to connect with students quickly over Zoom/Google Meet Comfortable using dashboards and tech tools to track and adjust performance Ability to maintain at least 80 percent overlap with US business hours Nice-to-have Requirements PhD in any field Background in performance coaching, sports psychology, or motivational work Experience working with homeschool or alternative education families About GT School GT School is revolutionizing education with AI, expert coaching, and 50+ years of learning science. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
