Senior Full-Stack Engineer | Paris | Product & Integration Engineering A growing software company in Paris is looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer to take significant ownership across its product platform and complex third-party integrations. This is a broad engineering role combining backend development, APIs, modern frontend technologies, distributed systems and external platform integrations. The team is particularly interested in engineers who have previously taken a complex external-system integration from initial design through implementation, testing and production , although exceptional generalist software engineers with strong technical breadth are also encouraged to apply. The Opportunity You will work across the wider product stack while taking ownership of technically complex integrations with external enterprise platforms. A particularly valuable background is previous experience integrating software with Electronic Health Record systems , ideally Epic. The important factor is not simply familiarity with an individual API or interoperability standard. We are interested in engineers who understand the complete integration lifecycle - from initial technical discovery and architecture through development, authentication, testing, validation, deployment, monitoring and production support. Epic experience is preferred, although engineers who have completed comparable integrations with other major EHR platforms are also relevant. Experience with standards and technologies such as FHIR, Epic APIs and HL7 is valuable, but specific traditional HL7 v2 expertise is not a standalone requirement. Alongside integrations, you will remain a genuine full-stack product engineer working across backend services, APIs, data models and user-facing applications. Key Responsibilities Design and build production backend services and APIs. Contribute to frontend product development. Own complex integrations with external platforms. Work across the full integration lifecycle from technical discovery through production. Design authentication, authorisation and data-exchange approaches. Build robust API integrations and integration workflows. Support integrations with EHR and other enterprise systems. Work with FHIR, Epic APIs, HL7 or comparable integration technologies where appropriate. Build reliable mapping, transformation and validation processes. Design error handling, monitoring and recovery mechanisms. Troubleshoot integration and application issues in production. Design and maintain databases and application data models. Contribute to distributed and event-driven architectures. Collaborate closely with engineering, product and external technical stakeholders. Contribute to CI/CD, testing and deployment practices. Improve product scalability, reliability and maintainability. Take ownership of ambiguous technical problems from definition through implementation. What We're Looking For 3+ years of professional software engineering experience , with stronger senior profiles particularly welcomed. Strong general software-engineering fundamentals. Experience building production backend applications and APIs. Experience with Python or comparable backend technologies. Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript. Experience with modern frontend development, ideally React. Strong API/integration experience. Experience working with databases and data modelling. Understanding of distributed or service-based architectures. Experience taking technical problems from initial design through production. Comfortable contributing across different layers of a software product. Strong debugging and production problem-solving capability. Ability to communicate system designs and technical trade-offs clearly. Comfortable working within a fast-moving, high-ownership engineering environment. Professional English. Particularly Valuable Experience Candidates with end-to-end EHR integration experience are particularly valuable. Ideally, you have personally taken a software product through a complete Epic integration lifecycle , from initial implementation and technical configuration through testing and production. Comparable experience integrating another major Electronic Health Record platform is also relevant. Experience limited to maintaining an existing integration, implementing an isolated API or handling support tickets is less relevant than having participated throughout the complete integration lifecycle. Additional useful experience Epic integrations. FHIR / Epic APIs. HL7 or healthcare interoperability. Authentication and identity systems such as OAuth/OIDC/SSO. API gateways. Complex third-party SaaS integrations. Mobile applications. Cloud-native applications. Microservices. Event-driven systems. Docker/Kubernetes. CI/CD. Security-sensitive software. Startup or scale-up environments. Who You Are You are a broad, product-minded software engineer rather than somebody restricted to one narrow layer of the stack. You are comfortable moving between APIs, backend services, data models, integrations and frontend applications. When faced with an unfamiliar system, you are able to understand the problem, gather the required context, design a sensible approach and carry it through to implementation. You communicate technical thinking clearly and can explain architecture visually and pragmatically. You enjoy ownership and are comfortable solving problems where the implementation path has not already been defined for you. Why Apply? High ownership across product and integration engineering. Work on technically complex real-world software integrations. Broad Full-Stack engineering rather than a narrow interface-only position. Significant architectural influence. Modern backend/frontend/cloud environment. Work alongside experienced product and engineering teams. Solve technically ambiguous problems from design through production. Strong potential for increasing technical responsibility as the organisation scales. Additional Information Permanent role. Paris-based. Hybrid working with regular onsite collaboration. English-speaking engineering environment. French beneficial but not essential. Existing right to work in France required. Candidates outside Paris can be considered where relocation within the coming months is realistic. Interested in learning more? Apply for a confidential discussion.

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
