Employee Relations Specialist

The ability to build relationships, exercise sound judgement, maintain discretion, and display a high degree of trust, will guarantee success in this role. **Remote - Will be required to travel to the Saratoga Springs, NY office 1-2 times/quarter. Responsibilities Serve as first line of defense and provide guidance on employee relations issues across all areas of the organization (coaching, performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, etc.) ensuring compliance with local laws and consistency in policy application Investigate employee relations matters, including allegations of policy violations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and misconduct and provide relevant documentation Conduct interviews, gather evidence, document findings, and recommend appropriate corrective actions Assist with developing key HR polices such as performance management, disciplinary processes, and related procedures, ensuring these processes are scalable and adaptable to the evolving needs of the organization Qualifications 5+ years of employee relations experience Experience supporting multi-site operations, retail, hospitality, property management, or self-storage environments Knowledge of employment laws (federal and multi-state), preferably California Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills Strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Disability Life & Accident 401k + Match Employee Assistance Program Paid time off, paid sick time, paid holidays
