Overview VTG is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support Windows and Linux enterprise environments and security-controlled systems. The position requires hands-on systems engineering and administration experience across Windows infrastructure, databases, Active Directory services, virtualization, and Linux environments. What will you do? Engineer, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems. Support Windows Server and desktop operating systems across enterprise environments. Administer MSSQL databases and related infrastructure. Support Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) and certificate management for users, servers, and service accounts. Manage virtualized environments, including VM clusters and Hyper-V. Support Data Protection Manager and enterprise data protection activities. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to support system administration and automation. Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes to accredit security-controlled systems. Administer Microsoft Group Policy across multiple systems. Manage Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for system updates and patching. Support virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V. Support security-controlled systems, software, hardware, and data architecture. Perform data transfer activities within security-controlled environments. Support network and storage infrastructure, including Cisco technologies and NetApp SAN environments. Cross-skill and provide backfill support for other team members. Handle sensitive data while exercising discretion and sound judgment.
